Kenora NBC Hosts A Successful Introductory Session

Kenora Nordic and Biathlon Club held an introductory biathlon session for the adult ski group on Saturday, November 2nd at Lake of the Woods Gun Club, and even had several students from Northern Ontario School of Medicine try their shooting skills.

There were 12 participants with coaching provided by Tim Wehner, Katie Lockhart and Scott Lockhart.

We hope to see the group again at a Falcon Lake race.

Photos From BAM Open Camp June 22/2019

We escaped threatening rain and wet terrain to complete a great day of Biathlon training for a host of new young athletes from Winnipeg’s Assiniboine Park Jackrabbits! Thanks to all the parents and coaches from that club that helped us put it all together. We also held a high performance camp for our advanced group of athletes and we definitely put them through the paces. Again as ritual would have it, Brian Walters laid out the potluck meals for a hearty post camp meal. Thanks to Mark, Lin-P’ing and Doug for coaching, Tom for spending the day repairing much of the facilities equipment. And thanks to Katherine Styrchak for taking these photos, capturing the fun.

Kenora Day Training Clinic A Success

This last weekend BAM hosted a day training clinic for Kenora Nordic at Falcon Lake and it was very well attended. Despite the intermittent rain, the  athletes in the Fundamental and early Developmental stages plus a number of athletes in the Masters program trained hard. We look forward to implementing more of these programs throughout the summer. Thanks to Mark, Scott, Tim and Doug for all their efforts!
