Race Notice Falcon Combined – 2016 (word .docx)

For those new to the event the Falcon Combined is a two day celebration of Cross Country Ski Racing and Biathlon competition. There is something here for the whole family and a racing discount if you participate on both days.

Saturday Jan. 30th is a MB Cup Cross Country Ski Race in the morning.
In the afternoon we open the Biathlon Range for 11 + aged skiers to try their hand at shooting.
On Saturday morning our RRNSBC Jackrabbits have a fun games based session followed by a ski adventure on the Falcon Trails.
Of course many of our skiers either after the races, between the open range, or after the Jackrabbit session try their hand at downhill skiing or snowboarding.

On Sunday Jan. 31st there is a Biathlon Cup race with categories for experienced racers and categories for youth and adults looking to try Biathlon for the first time. This is an excellent opportunity for the whole community — athletes, volunteers, family members (well everyone is a volunteer) to experience competition on the site of the Western Canadian Biathlon Championships hosted this year by RRNSBC on Feb. 26th- 28th.

The Falcon Combined is a real blast a true Nordic Ski/Biathlon Adventure.

Hope to see you there

Chris Roe – Sat. Jan. 30th Nordic Cup race Organizer and Lin-P’ing Choo Smith – Sun. Jan. 31st Biathlon Cup race and event organizer.
