Congratulations to our Manitoba Biathletes who performed very well in the 2016 precision shooting results! There were four Manitoba Athletes who had top monthly scores, Meaghan Smith, Emily Davidson, Liam Pelletier and Gabbie Pelletier. Both Liam and Gabbie Pelletier also claimed top scores for this year in their respective categories!
Sorry folks, our first Manitoba Cup Biathlon Race to be held on Saturday 17, Dec 2016 is officially cancelled due to projected cold temperatures.
Eveline Juce, formerly from Ski Birch in Manitoba and now skiing for University of Alberta’s Augustana Campus is heading to Almaty, Kazakhstan for the FISU 28th Winter World University Games at the end of January. Also noteworthy, Eveline, having just been awarded a 4-H Canada L.E.A.D. scholarship this fall will be mentored by two-time Olympian, Megan Imrie from Falcon Lake, Manitoba as part of the award.
Good morning here is a little blurb about my rifle and some pictures.
It is extremely well taken care of rifle, I bought it in 2007, direct from the dealer. Always stored and transported in hard case. It comes with the following;
New firing pin put in
Hard case ( number code entry)
I’m sure I can send along the cleaning kit if said buyer is in need.
This rifle has been my pride and joy for many years, but it is time I pass it on to be used and loved by someone else.
I am asking 5,000 for it. I am open to reasonable offers, keeping in mind that rifles don’t really go down much in value, increase.
Congratulations to Lucas Smith and Eveline Juce in their strong performances at the NorAm/Calforex Cup races in Canmore this past weekend! Lucas took first-place finishes in the Senior Boys category, both on Saturday and Sunday. Eveline had a Top Ten finish on Sunday’s race, competing for the Camrose Vikings of University of Alberta Augustana Campus in the Youth Women category.
Congratulations also goes out to recent Manitoba biathlete, Amelia Kovachik, for putting out a solid performance in the Youth Women category.

We’ll be having a work party this upcoming weekend to finish cutting and raking the grass around the start line and penalty loop. It is time to get ready for when the snow comes, so we will need willing volunteers to bring weed wackers (gas), rakes, work gloves, and rubber boots.
Hopefully, we can get many hands out there!
Follow this link to see what was happening at Falcon Lake this last weekend. Downtown Nordic held their 2nd Annual Masters Biathlon Clinic and the turnout was impressive! Thanks to all the volunteers and coaches who provided support to make this a smooth-running and fun event.
